YOUNG, passionate future dairy advocates are lining up to take part in the biennial Holstein Australia all-breeds dairy youth camp.
Held every two years for the past 14 years, the event will be at the Adelaide Showgrounds and is open to people 12 years and older.
Organiser Mandy Pacitti said the camp is not just about showing dairy cows.
“We have a comprehensive program in place that covers all aspects of the dairy industry and as always we will be offering some new elements to help keep it relevant and informative,” she said.
Among the activities are animal health and husbandry, judging and animal preparation, such as clipping and halter making.
There will also be guest speakers from all facets of the dairy industry, with the four day event culminating in a mini show.
Applications close April 4.
Forms are available from Gino and Mandy Pacitti.
